Friends,
As many of you may know, we typically support the Renew the New (Ramps ‘N’ Roads Project) by cleaning up Big Stony Creek along the stretch of water adjacent to the lime plant. This year’s cleanup is scheduled for next weekend 3/24. All participants have been asked to gather at Eastern Elementary school around 8 AM to get instructions and supplies for the cleanup. From there, we will drive in our own cars to Big Stony Creek and pick up trash along the banks, then leave the secured trash bags along the road for municipal pickup. If memory serves me, we generally try to work for at least a few hours, but any time you can devote is appreciated. Afterwards, pizza will be served back at Eastern Elementary School for the cleanup’s participants.
If you are planning on joining, could you please send me a quick affirmative. I’d like to give the organizers a general idea of how many folks they can expect from TU.
